I don’t think so… I installed it over the base CODEX version with ALI’s UPDATE 3 and it works perfectly. I guess this one contains all previous updates

According to the size of the update it might contain everything, so I think you can install it over the base version. (I had the update 3 just because it came out earlier…) Have a try! I bet it’ll work

copy all of it but not the steamapi64….!! and you have your save back!
@Boaz … There’s two folders of that Steamapi64.dlll and a CDX file .. Wich one should I not copy ?

My question. Since its a pirated game’s update: what version will it put the game to? And, is this one, compatible with old save files?
@ThinkTink Just confirmed it works with old saves if you don’t paste the steam_api64 files. And I still don’t know wich version since I don’t know where to check my current version.
i haven’t any problem in loading old savegames and i didn’t have to avoid the new steam_api64 files
I’m not the only one that cannot check the version,but i don’t think this is a problem,since we cannot connect to internet.
the version of my NMS.exe says it’s at 1.0.0
nms.exe crashed and I cannot launch the game…Another useless update!

And, i dont think its a problem either to bot see the version, but it something usefull when comes to know wich update to load and not..
..its weird that the version of the exe still says 1.0.0.0.. oh well..just to be sure i will wait for now, i’m fine on the update 3, everything runs smooth and 0 crash or whatsoever.

for me i downloaded the codex no man’s sky without any updates and it worked fine , dps is between 20 and 25 with meduim graphics and 17 to 15 in high graphics , i copied 2 folders of the game one in D and one in E so i can try the updates , first i tryed update codex 1 and i didnt lose my save but i didnt see any diff in the game , then i tryed update 3 ali , i did lose my save and i really didnt see any diff too , then i tryed update 5 , i didnt lose my save and i didnt see any diff , well i hope that would be helpfull for some of you .

No, I just installed the game and copied the files of the update 5 in the main folder. The game always crashes.

u will find it below update 5 in the game updates list
also u guys need to do few things
1. in the folder of the game go to Binaries then sitting then TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS and change Gsync from true to false .
2. in the game go to graphics and put all meduim or low , sync = off ,

ok reinstalled and used the update codex 1. but now before i start it i want to know the other thing with tkgrapicsettings. which file to i need to open ? only have libscefios2 , ninja_x64_release , nms.exe , profanityfilter_x64 and steam_api64. expect the nms.exe are all dll´s . dont even know how to open them xD

update 1 is not to copy , u install it
u go to setup.exe and install in the folder of game
then u copy the crack in codex folder

check your anti virus it might deleting the steam file

i know that i need to use the setup.exe
but after i installed it i get steam error and even if i dont get one it would get crashed anyway i guess.
and the thing with settings wasnt even in the binaries. i had to put them in from a different no mans sky version i downloaded which had them. on that version it started all perfectly fine expect that after few mins or seconds of seeing the stars it just cloes itself
i tried different ways of installs. with and without copy contents of codex. without it gets steam error , with it gets crash error 0x06d7363 which i always get while i start it …
i will try the updates now on the other no mans sky and look if i can get it somehow worked

made a copy and tried to use the update 5 and it worked fine. gonna try the online fix later too.
do you use the codex version of no mans sky ? then try a different one if that doesnt work.
look at ” mpc-g ” for that game. and then try the codex updates on it. it will work :)

you can make 2 copys like me. one is for update 1 and try to start it.
the other copy will get update 1 too if starting it worked. if not then give him directly the update 5.
dont forget to edit the settings which sami said.

After installing the game like 20 times I discovered that I can run it only one time after I install it.
Then, when I click the NMS.exe the process starts and closes itself. No update fixes this, and if I apply the update before the first run it does the same thing, without letting me run it.
Can somebody help?

Can you explain me how you made the game work? It seems similar to the problems I’m having.
i downloaded the no mans sky version from mpc-g.com and used the updates 1 and 5 on it.
first i made 2 copies . one got the 1st update. it worked. since it worked i did put update 1 and after that 5 on the other. it worked then too.
and done. nothing else ooh and i changed the settings which sami said something about vsync to false . but since it was already at false i change the other sync to false too
but its possible to try some things then in case it doesnt work

I cannot even start NMS.exe.
If your game load a new game and you lost your save… recrack the game with the first crack in NMS iso Skidrow ! You can change the language & your nickname in Steamemu.dll… done you got your old save !

it can also be possible you havent changed them yet. for example the language on both which is the reason for not starting because you dont have this language pack or that the game doesnt even have that language

I have had some problems experienced here, all to be resolved with a full wipe uninstall with Revo, and I made sure to install everything with admin privs and make sure to run exe with as admin. Every issue here, including nms.exe closing after opening has been resolved. Goodluck
Can I play it on 32 bit system?
no since you need 8gb ram to play it properly
and 32bit systems only gives you 4gb.
its better you give 64bit a try.
and yes you need to save everything. all will be gone otherwise.

gracias por subir el ´parche lo instale teniendo el parche numero 3 y funciono perfecto, es decir el juego funciona, no perdi mis partidas guardadas , pero, no mejora en el rendimiento aun sigue con fps muy bajos lo que si note es que cambiaron cosas en el juego
